End Credits Lyrics

When the blood dries in my veins
And my heart feels no more pain
I know I'll be on my way to heaven's doorI know when I'm not, I'll be hoping I don't drop
To a place where I will rise like before
I know when I'm not, I'll be hoping I don't drop
To a place where I will rise like beforeI can feel it
Something happening I've never felt before
Hope this dreaming won't start
Dragging me away from heaven's doorI can feel it
Something happening I've never felt before
Hope this dreaming won't start
Dragging me away from heaven's doorWhen my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I hope somebody's thereWhen my heart stops beating
And my lungs stop breathing in air
I hope somebody caresWhen the blood dries in my veins
And my heart feels no more pain
I know, I'll be on my way to heaven's doorI know when I'm not, I'll be hoping I don't drop

To a place where I will rise like before
I know when I'm not, I'll be hoping I don't drop
To a place where I will rise like beforeI can feel it
Something happening I've never felt before
Hope this dreaming won't start
Dragging me away from heaven's doorWhen my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I hope somebody's thereWhen my heart stops beating
And my lungs stop breathing in air
I hope somebody caresWhen my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I know at the end

Elmer Bernstein (pronounced "BERN-steen", IPA: [ˈbɜːɹnstiːn]) (April 4, 1922 – August 18, 2004) was an Academy and two-time Golden Globe award winning American film score composer. Bernstein was born in New York City, NY, United States. During his childhood he performed professionally as a dancer and an actor and won several prizes for his painting. He gravitated toward music by his own choice at the age of twelve, at which time he was given a scholarship in piano by Henriette Michelson, a Juilliard teacher who guided him throughout his entire career as a pianist.
