Endless Summer Lyrics

Hey
HeyThere used to be a time
That I believed
The soft pouring rain
Was just the pouring rain, it wasn't me
But every new light
'Cause we're shiny and bright
We'll suspend the storms
And the clouds in sightOf an endless summer
An endless summer
An endless summer to be homeLet me go wasting time
Let me go waste my timeOnce there was a chance
That I believed you
A kiss was just a kiss
No matter how I missed you
Shine a light on me
Say a prayer for reliefFrom an endless summer
An endless summer

An endless summer to be homeDid we go on too long?
Did we listen too close?
To a youth built strong
With things children shouldn't know
HeyAnd the fallout
From your third degrees
Of broken chairs
And of pedigree
Where the sons kill sons
And the daughters stay wise
'Cause when we rule
Everybody diesIn an endless summer
An endless summer
An endless summer to be home
HeyLet me go wasting time
Let me go waste my time
Let me go wasting time
Let me go waste my timeNow you can disagree
With how I choose to live
But freedom isn't free
Unless you learn how to give
How toTo the summer, summer, summer, yea
Summer, summer, summer, yea
To the summer, summer, summer, yea
Summer, summer, summer, yea

Zwan were a short-lived "indie supergroup" that formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2003. Formed by The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan (guitar/vocals), the band featured Paz Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle) on bass, Jimmy Chamberlin (also of the Smashing Pumpkins) on drums, and David Pajo (Slint/Tortoise/Papa M) and Matt Sweeney (Chavez) on guitar with Corgan. The band's only album, Mary Star of the Sea, was likened by critics to The Smashing Pumpkins ultra-successful Siamese Dream, but was laden with a notable positivity that was not to be found in The Smashing Pumpkins.
