Ends of the Earth Lyrics

Once I had a love, so sweet
I remember
She'd follow me to the ends of the earth
And I'd let herAnd everyday was like a fairy tale
Cuts me up inside to think how I failed
I see now so wellShe gave me everything she had
For the better
Gave me the key to her soul
And I let herOnce I had a love, so sweet
I remember
She'd follow me to the ends of the earth
And I let herAnd every day was like a picture book
The look of love was in her eyes and how she'd looked
But me, I just took, I just tookA fellow traveler with nothing planned
Still loving me the way I am
Expecting nothing in return
And through her I got to learnToo late for me to see
I measured out my destiny

Too late for me to know
Where I lost her, I don't knowEvery day was like a picture book
The look of love was in her eyes and how she'd looked
But me, I just took, I just tookOnce I had a love, so sweet
I remember
She'd follow me to the ends of the earth
And I let herOnce I had a love, so sweet
I remember
Follow me to the ends of the earth
And I let herYes, I let her, I let her slip away
(Once I had a love, so sweet)
(I remember)
Let her slip away
(Follow me to the ends of the earth)
(And I let her)

Paul Weller (born 25 May 1958) is an English singer / songwriter, leader of two successful bands: The Jam and The Style Council. In England, he is recognised as something of a national institution yet, because much of his songwriting is rooted in English culture, he has remained essentially a national rather than an international star. Weller's eleventh studio album, Sonik Kicks, was released on 19 March 2012. The Green Songfacts reports that it was recorded in Weller’s own Black Barn Studios in Ripley, Surrey, with co-producer Simon Dine and engineer Charles Rees.
