Ephemeral Summer Lyrics

She's my experience
I could erase it
I ended up with more questions
Than I started withShe took me to places
That I'd never see
Things have gone my way again
Now they're just a dreamAnd I'll be her rebound
If she'd be my love
I gave in so quickly
'Cause I was never enoughI saw her, she was rising
But it wasn't for us
And now I'm falling
I can see where I wasI'm thinking of England
Yea I think of your smile
And I think how I broke you
In my typical styleEphemeral summer
I'll miss you the most
Ephemeral summer

Now I'll walk aloneEphemeral summer
Too close to the sun
There won't be another
I thought you were the oneInvisible summer
But where did you go?
I know it's getting better
But time's moving slowAnd so I wait for the winter
I'll wait til the end
Ephemeral summer
Such a short time you standI won't hold on to memories
Forget what I saw
Girl I'll still remember
When you walked through that doorNow the sky's burning orange
We fall to the floor
Now I think I'll go join them
But I can't take anymoreEphemeral summer
I'll miss you the most
My ephemeral summer
Now I'll walk alone

Frankmusik (birth name Vincent James Turner) is the stage name of a producer, songwriter from Thornton Heath, South East London, England. According to Songfacts, "Frank" is derived from the surname of his grandfather, whose name he took in tribute.
One day, he decided that it was high time that he made some pop music that was a little different. Through a combination of retro synths, Commodore 64 samples, fast chunky drum riffs, and tried and tested lyrics, Frankmusik decided to get the ball rolling in 2007 and was signed to Island/Universal December of that year. His debut album "Complete Me" was released on 3 August 2009.
Frankmusik went on to changing his stage name to Vincent Did It in January, 2012, however he reverted back to Frankmusik in March, 2012.
