Epiphany Lyrics

Taking ahold of destiny
And coming undone
Blind the soul and stain the feet
Quenching the sunThere's an effigy of who I was
I'm tearing it down
An epiphany of who I've become
Deaf to the sound, turn it aroundReaching for something
Just to push it away
Dreaming of something
To wish it away
Screaming at something
To kiss it awayA bitter sea of empty days
Holding me down
A symphony gone out of phase
I'm deaf to the sound, turn it aroundReaching for something
Just to push it away
Dreaming of something
To wish it away

Screaming at something
To kiss it awayLonging for something
While stepping away
I'm stepping away
Step far away

The Echoing Green is an electronica/synthpop band. It began as a solo project by Joey Belville in 1993, and has since released eleven major albums. While founder Belville is a devout Christian, it is difficult to apply the same label to the band itself; while the lyrics are at times clearly infused with a strong element of faith, they are not specifically based around praise and at no point could they be considered to be preaching a message.
