Even If Lyrics

Doesn't seem that selfish, no, not in the least
What's so self righteous about this curiosity?
This want for a meager exchange
So much time has passed but still it remains
This need for you is a recurring theme in my lifeDon't you think I'm lonely?
Eager to complete the story
Confused and still haunted
With why you'd start over
Oh and ignore meIt takes time to realize the other side of you
That's controlled and blinding on sight of our lives
Well even if you left me and my brother
Even if you left us and our motherI want nothing more than to catch your eye
Would you be impressed with how far I've climbed
Without your assistance with you nowhere in sight?Don't you think I'm lonely?
Eager to complete the story
Confused and still haunted
With why you'd start over
Oh and ignore usIt takes time to realize the other side of you

That's controlled and blinding on sight of our lives
Even if you left me and my brother
Even if you left us and our motherShe's had her share more than we'll know
My brother won't, he just won't let goThey say you're sick and there's a name and a phrase
To apply and help explain
Still having trouble trying to separate
How you started a new family?Even after you left me and my brother
Even after you left us and our mother

(2003-2009) The Honorary Title was a folk-rock band from Brooklyn, New York composed of Jarrod Gorbel, Aaron Kamstra, Jon Wiley, and Adam Boyd. Gorbel has become known for his dark sense of humor, which often works its way into the band's songs. Their first release was a self-titled EP. But they received much attention and did major touring after they released a full length album on Doghouse Records in 2004 entitled Anything Else But the Truth, recorded in Nashville and New York with producer Roger Moutenot who has also worked with Yo La Tengo and Guster.
