Everybody (get Down) Lyrics

(Can I get down?)
Yes, you can
(Can I turn it around?)
Um hmm
(Can I work that thing)
Work it, babe
(Get down, get down)I'm checking honey and she's licking her lips
Dancing with her friend, but looking at me
And if I'm not mistaken this is an invitation
To participate with me, she and she, oh yeahAnd now they're waiting for me
But they'll wait a little longer
I played it oh so pimply
'Cuz I might see something better
And I'll just slide in between 'em
I gotta let these shorties know
I'mma holla at you later
But right now I got's to flow, I got's to flowEverybody get down
DJ start to get busy

Everybody get loud
Ladies start to get freaky
Niggas startin' to act wild
Let me know if you're with me
Everybody get down
(Work that thang)Just like I thought, the night keeps getting better
I sees this honey, too hot to miss
She was sitting in a chair with her legs slightly spread
Showing just how off the chain she is, yeahAnd what she's showing to me
You could call it basic instinct
I played it oh so pimply
I told her when and where to meet me
See playboy ain't that anxious
So I just let honey know
I'mma twist her back up later
But right now I got's to flow, flow, flowEverybody get down
DJ start to get busy
Everybody get loud
Ladies start to get freaky
Niggas startin' to act wild
Let me know if you're with me
Everybody get down
Everybody, everybodyEverybody get down
DJ start to get busy
Everybody get loud
Ladies start to get freaky
Niggas startin' to act wild
Let me know if you're with me
Everybody get down
You don't have to partyA party ain't a party unless you got a shorty
Movin' and shaking that ass on you
It's so good, it's so right
Girl, I'm feeling you tonight
And the time is now so everybody can get down(Can I get down?)
Yes you can
(Can I turn it around?)
Yes you can
(Can I work that thang?)
Go 'head baby
(Get down, get down)Oh, can I get down?
(Yes you can)
Can I turn it around?
(Oh, yes you can)
Can I spank that thang?
(Go ahead daddy)
Oh, get down, get downEverybody get down
DJ start to get busy
Everybody get loud
Ladies start to get freaky
Niggas startin' to act wild
Let me know if you're with me
Everybody get down
(Get down, get down)Everybody get down
DJ start to get busy
Everybody get loud
Ladies start to get freaky
Niggas startin' to act wild
Let me know if you're with me
Everybody get down
(Get down, get down)Everybody get down
Everybody get loud
Niggas startin' to act wild
Everybody get down
(Get down, get down)

Montell Du'Sean Jordan (born December 3, 1968 in Los Angeles, California) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. Jordan was the first R&B artist signed to the Def Jam label, and became the main male artist on its Def Soul imprint until leaving the label in 2003.

Jordan attended Pepperdine University in California to pick up a bachelor's degree in communications, graduating summa cum laude and was a state finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship.

Jordan's first single was the 1995 #1 hit single "This Is How We Do It", and defined his hip hop soul musical style. "This Is How We Do It" and its follow-up, "Somethin' 4 Da Honeyz", show a strong hip hop influence, and Jordan's material fit alongside the rest of Def Jam's output. Future hits would include "Let's Ride" with Master P in 1998 and "Get It on Tonite" in late-1999.

Besides crafting his own material, Jordan has written and produced for a number of outside artists, including Christina Milian, 98 Degrees, Deborah Cox ("Nobody's Supposed to Be Here", 1998), and Sisqó (the number-one hit "Incomplete", 2000). The singer has had cameo roles in the films "The Fighting Temptations" and "The Nutty Professor."

Jordan left Def Soul in 2003 and released the album "Life After Def" on Koch Records.

Jordan released his 7th project - "Let It Rain" - on October 21, 2008.

In 2010, Jordan left the music business to become a minister. As he explained on his Twitter feed, the decision is "a calling that’s probably been with me all my life since I was a child. And I’ve known it. A lot of people in the business know it and have the same calling but that leap of faith is difficult."
