Everything Happens to Me Lyrics

I make a date for golf
And you can bet your life it rains
My flat warming got started
But the btch next door complainedIt seems ill spend my whole life
Catching colds and missing trainsI waited in the rain
For a blind date who never showed
Then a 4x4 drenched my jeans as I tried to cross the road
Got back to the car in time to watch it being towed
Everything haoppens to meAt first I thought you might break this jinx for me
Youi love would bring an end to my despair
That would have been so cool
Not how its meant to be
Instead you vanished into thin airIve emailed and ive phoned
Sent a text meassge or two
You told me to piss off and for that respect is due
I fell in love just once
Did it have to be with you?

At the end of 1939, Frank Sinatra left the Harry James Orchestra to join the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, where he rose to fame as a ballad singer. His first and biggest hit with the band was 1940s "I'll Never Smile Again," which spent several weeks at number one - and was the first "number one" - on Billboard magazine's then-new chart of America's top-selling records. His vast appeal to the "bobby soxers," as teenage girls were called, revealed a whole new audience for popular music, which had appealed mainly to adults up to that time.
