Everything to Lose Lyrics

I saw who you, I saw who you really were
You were something, truly to me
Not that you would ever know
For anythingHow I watched you
(How I watched you)
And everything that you did
(And everything)
In spite of themDidn't you know
(Didn't you know)
That you had everything to lose
(Had everything)
Why didn't you care? What drove you to? Why would you?
With everything to lose
What drove you to? How could you?
With everything to loseYou were the only one who made sense to me
The irony and I hate them
For everything they didn't know
But always wroteYour vision made it

(Your vision made it)
Worthwhile and I knew
(Worthwhile and I knew)
That I lost that tooAnd now, I don't know
(Now, I didn't know)
What I should say, only that
(I should say)
I know I miss youWhat drove you to? Why would you?
With everything to lose
What drove you to? How could you?
With everything to lose, with everything to loseHow couldn't you know where it would go?
I don't believe that you didn't care
How could you say that it was okay
When you lied about it each day? What are you gonna tell them
When they are old enough to understand?
Why they found you face down? What drove you to? Why would you?
With everything to lose
What drove you to? How could you?
With everything to loseWith everything to lose
With everything to lose
With everything, with everything
With everything to lose

Dance Hall Crashers came into existence after Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman disbanded from the legendary ska-punk band Operation Ivy. Both departed soon after the Crashers' formation (and later reunited in Rancid), leaving vocalist Elyse Rogers and guitarist Jason Hammon to lead the band.
The Dance Hall Crashers recorded a few songs during their first year (these are featured on The Old Record), and in 1990, they made their most notable lineup change, adding second vocalist Karina Denike.
