Eye of the Hurricane Lyrics

I could see it coming from a mile away, and I just stood back and watched.
I don't need eyes in the back of my head to know something's really wrong.I'm looking into the eye, eye of the hurricane.
I'm looking into the eye, eye of the hurricane.Gibby took a jackknife out of his back pocket, and carved 666 in his forehead.
While the Butthole Surfers walked around with their heads chopped off.
That's what I wanna know.
I saw Rocky Ericsson the other day, and things are really starting to get scary.
I don't need eyes in the back of my head to know things are getting hairy.I'm looking into the eye, eye of the hurricane.
I'm looking into the eye, eye of pure evil. All my friends are dressed in black, and there's a star on the floor.
There's too many candles in this room and I can't see what I'm doing.
And neither can they.
It might not happen today.
Just you wait, you'll see.
It might not even happen next year.
Just you wait, just you wait, just you wait, just you wait, just you wait...
I'm looking into the eye, eye of the hurricane.
I'm looking into the eye, eye of the hurricane.

Half Japanese is a punk rock band formed by brothers Jad Fair and David Fair in their Uniontown, Maryland bedroom around 1975. Their quirky song lyrics often deal with monsters and the supernatural (especially as influenced by campy "creature feature" and scifi movies), in addition to more conventional themes, such as the visceral thrills of crushes and infatuations. They have stated that all their songs are either "love songs or monster songs."
