Face Down In The Right Town Lyrics

So you did what you thought was right
Oh giving up the fight
The only way that we knew was wrong
Got me hanging on and on
It?s everything you want
Everything you needAnd the people who counted on
Let you down one by one
So be sure what you?re asking for
Telephone don?t ring no more
It?s everything you want
Everything you needOoh in the right crowd
Face down in the right town
No good uptown
But maybe somehow
We?ll get back homeDon?t care who walks through the door
The life I paid twice for
Rearranging the furniture
It reminds me of who you were

It?s everything you want
Everything you needOoh in the right crowd
Face down in the right town
No good uptown
But maybe somehowOoh in the right crowd
Face down in the right town
No good uptown
But maybe somehow
We?ll get back homeWe?ll get back home
We?ll get back home
We?ll get back home

Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray form Earlimart, an indie rock singer/songwriter duo based out of Los Angeles, CA. The name comes from Earlimart, CA, a town located between Los Angeles and Fresno, CA. The punk rock style that could be heard in the band's earlier albums quickly transgressed into dreamy lo-fi compositions on Avenues EP. Espinoza's hushed vocals bears heavy resemblance Elliott Smith who also worked with and was a personal friend of the band's. In response to the sudden death of Smith, Earlimart's composed the 2004 album, Treble & Tremble as tribute album to the late artist.
