Faces Lyrics

Live it up, let it go
Just hand over control
All the space and all the time
Yeah, it all just passed you byYou've been so many places
And I know the feel of wearing different facesAnd if you slow down, could it ever be this fun?
In a small town with nowhere else to run
Give it time, figure it out, get in line and narrow it down
You'd go farther than you ever thought you couldAnd have you noticed this before
That you never close the door
Always keep them on the line
Save it for another timeYou've been so many places
And I know the feel of wearing different facesAnd if you slow down, could it ever be this fun?
In a small town with nowhere else to run
Give it time, figure it out, get in line and narrow it down
You'd go farther than you ever thought you couldI try to make us believe
The lies, the lies that you were doing everything you could
You've got a lot to change, it's not too late
You've got to bring it to the light and find the goodYou've been so many places

You've been so many placesAnd if you slow down, could it ever be this fun?
In a small town with nowhere else to run
Give it time, figure it out, get in line and narrow it down
You'd go farther than you ever thought you could(You've been so many places)
Farther than you ever though you could
(You've been so many places)
Farther than you ever though you could
(You've been so many places)
Farther than you ever though you could

While it’s common practice in rock bios to liken an act to something familiar, it’s hard to do that with San Diego’s We Shot The Moon. That’s because it’s virtually impossible to compare them to any other band out there…not for more than a track or two, at least. We Shot The Moon--led by former Waking Ashland frontman Jonathan Jones--is a piano-heavy indie rock five-piece that formed in the year 2007. On September 29, the band releases its infectious sophomore LP, A Silver Lining, the follow-up to 2008’s Fear and Love, on Minneapolis-based label Afternoon Records.
