Fade Away Lyrics

Twisting on a fine line, shifting up the incline
Coasting down along this narrow road
Creeping up my blind side, sidetrack to the dark side
Try to get my spirit to transcendI've suffered inside the grey and the black
I've walked through coals to get where I'm at
I've saved a lifetime in a jar of miry clay
Shaping my existence to never fade awayFade away
I will never
Never fade awayDrifting on an ocean, life without devotion
Hollow is the man without a soul
Blinded by ambition, short signed in his vision
Redemption's not a place that he calls homeI've suffered inside the gray and the black
I've walked through coals to get where I'm atI've saved a lifetime in a jar of miry clay
Shaping my existence to never fade awayFade away
I will never
Never fade awayTwisting on a fine line, shifting up the incline
Coasting down along this narrow road
Creeping up my blind side, sidetrack to the dark side

Try to get my spirit to transcendDraining out of the poison, infection's now in motion
Got to find the source before it spreads
Facing my destruction, reaching out for something
To free the embrace of this quicksandI've suffered inside the grey and the black
I've walked through coals to get where I'm at
I've saved a lifetime in a jar of miry clay
Shaping my existence to never fade awayFade away
I will never
Never fade away

More than one artist shares this name. 1) Heathen is a North American thrash metal band originating from the Bay Area California, founded in 1984 by guitarist Lee Altus and drummer Carl Sacco. They have released two critically acclaimed albums, "Breaking The Silence" (1987) and "Victims Of Deception" (1991). First Era (1984-1992) Heathen was formed in 1984 by two friends, guitarist Lee Altus (who was a native of Ukraine (U.S.S.R. then)) and drummer Carl Sacco (formerly of Metal Church). The pair later recruited lead vocalist Sam Kress and second guitarist Jim Sanguinetti.
