Faithful Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
All riseA reading fom the book of 'Sense Live' song fifty five
Verse one, I ran twenty five miles blind through the wicked terrain
But due to my superior conditioning I maintained and survived
My deadly mission, it's crazy the world we live in there's no doubtingBut armageddon, it ain't coming in this year '2000
Me, I know two thousand million armies
Sprouting, spirits arousing
Kids from the burbs and public housingWith ten worlds to dwell from Buddhahood to Hell, check it
Miguel Angel, it seems my poppa named me very well
It's necessary that we spread the love to every
If you touch the life of one, you touch the lives of plentySo people, let the truth be known

We own the will and the way and so tell me what's this delaying
These are the latter days and benefits will be received
Only for the faithful who truly believeThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter daysThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter daysWhen I appear I be the natural four divisions of the year
Spring, summer, fall, winter, lend me your ear
Got this mic her about to start a Renaissance
Unite all the colors of the world like BenettonKeep the faith and move on, evolve, don't let it dissolve
Everybody sees the breaks, problems were made to be solved
The power's in your palm, the future's straight ahead
Open with possibilities, focus, why be afraid?Enter the unknown free, where life gives you surprises
Surprises give you life and your spirit energizes
Reaching new horizons, promoting the uprising
Rising above 'cause El Demonio be snuffin'So people, let the truth be known
We own the will and the way and so tell me what's this delaying
These are the latter days and benefits will be received
Only for the faithful who truly believeThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter daysThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter days, in these latter daysWe are the light of the world
May our light shine before men
That they may see the good that we do
And give glory to GodIt's for the faithful
See this movin' in your area
Give thanks
Come on, come on
Give thanks
Give, give thanks
Give, give thanks
Give, give thanks
All riseThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter daysThis is for the faithful who truly believe
That Babylon is gone, you got everything you need inside your palm
So sing songs of thanks and praise
These are the fatter days, the latter daysThis is for the faithful
Babylon is gone
This is for the faithful
Babylon is gone
This is for the faithful
Babylon is gone

Formed in 1992, the band originally consisted of Donny on guitar, Spec on bass, Dose on drums, and their two MCs Sense and Season. Within two years the band had a record deal with Mercury Records and released a live EP (recorded in Queens, Respect) in 1994, with their debut full length Jammin' in Vicious Environments (J.I.V.E.) released a year later (on vinyl and cd). In support of their album, Shootyz Groove toured with many acts on both ends of their musical spectrum, including Slayer, Boogie Down Productions, and 311. By 1995 the band's bassist Spec had left the band, they were off of Mercury Records and they released their hard-to-find live album, Live J.I.V.E. After acquiring a new bass player, Paul "Freak Love" and thanks to frequent touring, the band was picked up by Roadrunner Records. In 1997 they released their Roadrunner Records debut, Hipnosis. Shootyz Groove then moved to Reprise Records and resurfaced two years later with High Definition and gained popularity with single "L Train". Shootyz Groove split after this album but have reformed in 2004. They have released a demo of "Heard That All Before" taken from their forthcoming, untitled album on their website. In early versions of iTunes, "L Train" was bundled. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
