Family Ties Lyrics

From the back of the cop ride,
The black on black, black when we cop rides
I will not hide, hi ma hot thighs,
Dick on her nose, now she's cock-eyed
From whippin the bacon rolls,
To outside whippin' the bacon rolls
Sanai Lathan knows, I'm rakin' but makin' dough
Eighty holes in ya shirt, they're your own Jamaican clothes
I ain't talkin' the Pocono's
I'm talkin' to Aspen's the slopes we go
You get the okie doke, play me baby I hope he know
We break noses, call him baby Pinocchio
Fuckin' liar, I'll hold it with blue mittens
Two pigeons, what the fuck are you pitchin'
One house, two kitchens, who's bitchin'
I'll bring the diesel, won't see the Fuschnickens
And I don't trust a ho, that's mother to baby mother

Motherfucker you look like a lady lover
I'll tuck slap her, dap her, plus clap her
Tell her drink, come get drunk it's nut cracker
And it's well known that Rell home, Yup
Hit E.T. up on the cell phone
As your family dies, and my family rise
Call the network, Dipset, family ties
[Chorus]
You see me in that lavender tank, you rather just faint
I was fort louder, you was saint ladder day saints
Whips get lavender paint, ride with the rappers
Scrap with the actors, cap back, abra cadabra
And I'm applauded, thinkin' we ain't all comfortable
Me and all these rappers all Theodore Huxtable
They mothers a lawyer, they fathers a doctor
Auction, coke to the coppers, Glock's in the locker
And who you sposed to be, get hung from the rosaries
Call me C.O.D. that's Coke and them Oser D
Some O.D.B. off them Oser D
I ain't give a fuck, as long as they ain't close to me
Put your drugs in the air, give a toast to me
Pump that dip in your veins, get dope like me
Fuck Kerry and Bush, you should vote me
For real nigga, on the real, the last hope is me
[Chorus]

There are three artists that used this name:

1) The Diplomats, (also known as Dipset) are a Harlem, New York-based group who previously signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, but now are signed to own label Diplomats Record. Founded by rappers Cam'Ron and Jim Jones, the group released their debut album Diplomatic Immunity under their imprint Diplomat Records.

Diplomat Records also distribute artist Cam'Ron through Asylum Records. Under Koch Entertainment, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, 40 Cal., Freekey Zekey, J.R. Writer, Hell Rell, Un Kasa and Jha Jha are also signed on as members of The Diplomats record label. London-based duo, S.A.S, are also part of The Diplomats. Another member, Jay Bezel, is signed to Sure Shot Records. The group's sophomore album Diplomatic Immunity 2 was released under Koch Entertainment. Juelz Santana currently is the only member still signed to Diplomat Records and Def Jam Records.

One of the defining elements of the Diplomats' music is the innovative slang they have incorporated into their lyrics. The broader hip-hop community has accepted and utilized many of their terms, including "doggie,", "no homo", "piff," "huff," "u mad?", "move the movement", "off' wit' Ya' Kufi Smacker", "goonies goo goo,", "duck tales", "family matters", and "coochie rap". They also coined the greeting, "What's Really Good?". Many of the rappers were signed, and were premiered in mixtapes, but the Diplomats did not become exclusive until 2003 with their cd Diplomatic Immunity. In previous music videos when Cam'ron was starting his career you could see fellow diplomats like Jim Jones or Freeky Zeeky. The Diplomats have also gained notable street credability through their mixtapes, especially in New York, and have made a small fortune through mixtape sales. They also have their own brand of Liquor, Sizzurp.

2) The Dilpomats were a mid-90's pop band from Roanoke, Virginia Heavily influenced by Big Star.

3) The Diplomats is also an avant jazz project consisting of:
Rob Brown (as)
Steve Swell (tb)
Harris Eisenstadt (d)
