Fat Lady Of Limbourg (Brian Eno cover) Lyrics

Well, I rang up Pantucci
Spoke to Lu-chi
I gave them all
They needed to knowAnd if affairs are proceeding
As we're expecting soon enough
The weak spots will showI assume you understand that we have options on your time
And will ditch you in the harbour if we mustBut if it all works out nicely
You'll get the bonus you deserve
From doctors we trust. The Fat Lady of Limbourg
Looked at the samples that we sent
And furrowed her browYou would never believe that
She'd tasted royalty and fame
If you saw her nowBut her sense of taste is such that she'll distinguish with her tongue
The subtleties a spectrograph would missAnd then announce her decision
While demanding her reward
The jellyfish kissNow we checked out this duck quack
Who laid a big egg, oh so black
It shone just like goldAnd then the kids from the city

Finding it pretty, took it home
And there it was soldIt was changing hands for weeks 'till someone left it by their fire
It melted to a puddle on the floorFor it was only a candle
A Roman scandal oh oh oh
Now it's a poolThat's what we're paid for
That's what we're paid for
That's what we're paid for hereThat's what we're paid for
That's what we're paid for
That's what we're paid for here

Shivaree is a three-person American band formed in 1999 consisting of Ambrosia Parsley (vocals), Danny McGough (keyboards), and Duke McVinnie (guitar). They have produced three full-length albums (only two of which have enjoyed a North American release due to contract disagreements) and have approximately 500,000 combined sales to their name. They credit numerous other musicians in their work and are usually joined by two or three other collaborators when performing live. Their song Goodnight Moon was used in the Quentin Tarantino movie 'Kill Bill Vol. 2.'
