Homeless guy I walk by every single day
He seems so nice but people always turn away
One day I stood with him and we talked for a while
He seemed happy but had sadness in his smile
I shis hand and he said "Thank you very much.
'Cause sometimes conversation's just as good as a donation."
I didn't understand until he looked at me and said
"Millions like me are freezing tonight and no one cares if we live or die.

As I stood with him a business man walked up
A winning smile and threw a wad of gum into his cup
I was so angry that I ran and chased him down
I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around
