Felicity (Richard Skinner BBC Session '81) Lyrics

I objected
When they took it away from here
Honesty
That could not have been much more than meOne must be strong
For without, the weather will change
But within remain unchanged
The things for which we striveFor happiness, I guess
When you lay it on the ground
Felicity, I guess so
Felicity, I guess soNow I'm in a stupor
Behind the scenes which say, this was is okay
The clarity of my eyes
Shines both in memories of past victories
Fine scenes shining while shining whiteFelicity, I guess so
Felicity, I guess soTake me to the bridge now
Happiness
Oh, oh, happiness
Oh, oh, happiness

This is the sound of happiness

Orange Juice were a Scottish post punk band founded in Glasgow. They were originally formed by Edwyn Collins as the Nu-Sonics in 1976 which became Orange Juice in 1979. The group is perhaps best known for the hit "Rip It Up", which reached #8 on the UK singles charts in February 1983, the band's only UK top 40 single. The band's first official show was on April 20th, 1979 at the Victoria Cafe at the Glasgow School of Art. The band released their first singles on Postcard Records records, before signing to Polydor for their first album "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever".
