Fight for Love Lyrics

What makes the sun go down
What makes the world spin around
It's the time we can't have back
We need need the mostHow can I stop you in your tracks
This train's moving way too fast
Slow down, baby, I can't keep up
But I keep coming backYou got to fight for love
Fight for what you're dreaming of
You got to fight for love
You got to fight for love
Baby, it's a crying shame
We don't see it the same way
Can't make a river run upstream
And that breaks my heartI remember way back then
I only knew you as a friend
Can we try to find the things we lost
And build it back againYou got to fight for love
Fight for what you're dreaming of

You got to fight for love
You got to fight for loveCan't just stand here and take it
Sit and watch the world go by
You and me we're gonna make it
Come on, baby, let's give it a try
You got to fight for love
Fight for what you're dreaming of
You got to fight for love
You got to fight for love

Raised in Memphis and based in Nashville, singer-guitarist Drew Holcomb is, on one level, the sum of those musically iconic cities, a songwriter/performer able to balance feel and craft in a way that can only come from someone informed at once by the likes of Al Green and Steve Earle. But the main catalyst behind Holcomb's musical voice has been the road. In the past four years, he has logged in more than 650 concert dates across the country from solo coffeehouse gigs to clubs, festivals, and colleges with his band, the Neighbors.
