Fight the Daylight Lyrics

turn it up
turn it up hey ! (2x)chain gang bo bang
taking the cocaine into ur brain
going for insane like everyday just don't matter
& the kids go hard till they go too far
cuz it's a dream on the scene
but it ain't my thing
man if u can't do it then the next one can
cmon
yeah i wanna see u turn it up
cmon & let me see ya see ya see ya gooutside
of tonight
fight the daylight !
one time
in ur life
u gotta get it right . . . (2x)turn it up (4x)same game for days
staking the same claim for every name
playing for new fame like yesterday never even happened

& the kids all rage till they show their age
cuz it's the thing on the scene
where the dj's king
& if u don't dance like the next man can baby
cmon i wanna see u turn it up
cmon i wanna see ya see ya see ya gooutside
of tonight
fight the daylight !
one time
in ur life
u gotta get it right . . . (2x)oh
dress for show . . .
be adored . . .
& then ur bored on the bathroom floor
so it goes . . .
soon u'll know . . .
what's most important
maybe . . .i wanna see u turn it up
wanna see ya see ya see ya see ya see ya turn it up
i wanna see ya see ya see ya turn it up
wanna wanna wanna see ya see ya see ya see ya see ya gooutside
of tonight
fight the daylight !
one time
in ur life
u gotta get it right . . . (2x)

With a diverse array of influences, eclectic twosome J*Davey -- female vocalist Jack Davey (b. Brianna Cartwright) and producer Brook D'Leau -- deliberately evade the narrow categories of what urban music should sound like, not to mention that they defy normal conventions of pop music. Drawing equally from neo-soul, new wave, funk, and hip-hop, their melting pot of electronic soul and dance have made music-goers try to classify them somewhere between neo-soulstress Erykah Badu and new wave punks Talking Heads.
