Finish What You Started Lyrics

It's not enough to be what you wanted
Stuck in love, fighting your way out
Your string's attached to all my limbs
And I know you're about to let me down, downLet me tell you, leave behind you
Never ends, never endsIf you ever learn just to walk away
Then kill me with the words that you didn't say
Finish what you started
Push until you feel I'm about to break
Littering into pieces of what you take
Just finish what you started so we can do it againI know it's bound to happen
The road you take leads right back to me, me
Your pill gets hard to swallow
Each time I have to hear you say, sayThat you're sorry that you left me
Once again, once againIf you ever learn just to walk away
Then kill me with the words that you didn't say
Finish what you started
Push until you feel I'm about to break
Littering into pieces of what you take

Just finish what you started so we can do it againSo pick it up right back where you left off
Say the things that you know will turn me on
You speed up, I'm gone and then you're gone
But everything you get you'll get just like I wonIf you ever learn just to walk away
Then kill me with the words that you didn't say
Finish what you started
Push until you feel I'm about to break
Littering into pieces of what you take
Just finish what you started so we can do it againIf you ever learn just to walk away
Then kill me with the words that you didn't say
Finish what you started
Push until you feel I'm about to break
Littering into pieces of what you take
Just finish what you started so we can do it again

Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue explores themes of lust, temptation and self-acceptance on new album Bad Habits' 10 driving tracks, solidifying their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. Their third full-length sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own.

Making their mark through hard work, the stunning vocal stylings of singer Dave Strauchman and an unfaltering belief in their brand of quality rock tunes, the Motor City five-piece has exploded from hometown shows to international success in a few short years. The band has been a staple on the rock circuit since 2004, clocking up tours with All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Hey Monday, and was featured in Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums 2011. The band's single "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" was in high rotation on Sirius Hits 1, with several weeks appearance on the 20 on 20 chart in fall 2010, and the poignant video resonated with fans worldwide, picking up airplay on MTV2 and was named Kerrang! TV's Video Of The Week. With an entire summer of Vans Warped Tour in front of them, Every Avenue stands defiant, a stable of killer tracks under their belts, poised to take Bad Habits to new heights.
