Firebreather Lyrics

Three days of darkness, eternal night
Celestial sign swallows up the light
A raging storm, Armageddon's here
The enslaved's hope is the evil's fearHe rides the wind on silent wings, laser beams ripping steel
Black helicopters go up in flames, before they know that he's realFirebreather, raging from the stormy sky
Firebreather, smoke and thunder steal the light awayBlack soldiers walk the gates of hell
They drop their mask, they come off their shell
Minotaurs and genetic beasts
Invade the world with a bloody feastHe rides the wind on silent wings, laser beams ripping steel
Black helicopters go up in flames, before they know that he's realFirebreather, raging from the stormy sky
Firebreather, smoke and thunder steal the light awayMan in black your time is up
Universal law, you're outta luck
No dirty tricks, no unfair fight
He shoots your head off with his first strikeHe rides the wind on silent wings, laser beams ripping steel
Black helicopters go up in flames, before they know that he's realFirebreather, raging from the stormy sky
Firebreather, smoke and thunder steal the light away

Running Wild is one band from a wave of German Heavy metal bands to emerge in the early/mid 1980s (along with Helloween, Rage, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, etc). The music they play is a mixture of heavy and speed metal. The band has carved its niche in the metal world as the first "pirate metal" band, a theme which took off with the release of Under Jolly Roger in 1987. The band played their farewell show at the Wacken Open Air 2009, for which setlist fans voted for. In October 2011 Rolf officially announced the comeback including a new studio album called "Shadowmaker" due in April 2012.
