Fit to Be Tied Lyrics

With lovers in wait, who were teh lucky ones
Left outside the scene
You know what I mean, they were the fortunate
Forgotten in your in betweenNo leash, no lead and no tether
With the conscience the weight of a featherHey, what can I say, it was all for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to you
What can I do, I can't run and hide
With you forever being tethered to me
Why should it be, I was along for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to youHeld down by the weight
And I'm wrapped in another one
This elastic leash
Is joined at the hip,
Every trip brings another on
And to say the leastI am bound to be bound to one lover
With no room to breathe, no room to recoverHey, what can I say, it was all for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to you
What can I do, I can't run and hide

With you forever being tethered to me
Why should it be, I was along for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to youI am bound to be bound to one lover
With no room to breathe, no room to recoverHey, what can I say, it was all for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to you
What can I do, I can't run and hide
With you forever being tethered to me
Why should it be, I was along for the ride
And now I'm fit to be tied to you

Brian Vander Ark combines a smooth acoustic guitar with his inspiring lyrics to produce a sound that is highly unique. Though his solo career will always be overshadowed by his success with The Verve Pipe, his new style can't be measured under the same standards. His new goal in music is not to make millions. Vander Ark is now all about the music, as seen in Written and Erased (LP Version) from his first solo album, 2004's Resurrection. His wife Lux Land, also a talented musician, provides inspiration for many of his lyrics as well as back-up vocals.
