Flag and Finger Lyrics

So where o' where do the revolutionaries hide
Have they all decided not to come outside
Give me a simple sign
To know if you're alive or deadJust raise the flag and finger
And leave it there to linger
Yeah, this is my solution
This is my American RevolutionLet's take the condom off the microphone
'Cause there's no one to protect
And no you can't spread disease
Through profanities or your intellectSo I raise the flag and finger
And I leave it there to linger
Yeah, this is my solution
This is my American RevolutionFreedom is fragile
Like the freedom to speak out
The freedom to tell them
When to shove it where the sun don't shineAnd we raise the flag and finger
And leave it there to linger
Yeah, this is our solution

And this is my American RevolutionYeah, this is my American Revolution
Yeah, this is my American Revolution

Marcy Playground is an American alternative rock and post-grunge band. Named for the formative location in lead singer John Wozniak's childhood (the Marcy Open grade school in Minneapolis, Minnesota), Marcy Playground emerged in the late 90s. They had been influenced heavily by Kurt Cobain and his band Nirvana. The influence is quite clear on Marcy Playground's self-titled album, with songs like The Shadow Of Seattle and Saint Joe on the School Bus.
