Flock of Words Lyrics

A change in your voice was all that I heard
A quaverin' breath, a pause an a wordA shadow that suddenly covered my eyes
A ripplin' water, quite smooth otherwiseYou tried to go back and pave over the hole
Where an intake of breath had punctured my soul
Let me know, let me know, I need to knowA moment of silence, it now seems absurd
That I learned so much from a pause in a wordEvery bird on the wing leads the others along
Inside your flock of words somethin' went wrongI don't think that I was expecting a lot
I just saw that I'm passed bein' one who couldn't fly
Let me go, let me goI don't think that I was expecting a lot
I just saw that I'm passed bein' one who couldn't fly
Let me go, let me go, I need to go
