María de Lourdes was a Mexican singer born on 30 december 1939 in Mexico City and passed away on 6 November 1997 at Schiphol Airport (the Netherlands) only days before she would be honours with a statue in Mexico. Besides being very popular in Mexico she also has many fans in The Netherlands.
