Fool For Your Love Lyrics

I'm just a fool for you, baby
I'm just a fool for your love
You take me half the way to heaven
And you know that's not enough
I'm just a fool for your loveYou've got me wanting to be near you
You know I want this love to grow
You say you like to keep things simple
And you don't want any tides
But I see a different story in your eyesI'm just a fool for you, baby
I'm just a fool for your love
You take me half the way to heaven
And you know it's not enough
I'm just a fool for your loveYou try to act like it don't matter
You said you've felt this way before
Say you only want your freedom
And you don't need nothin' more
Here you are just knocking at my doorI'm just a fool for you, baby
I'm just a fool for your love

You take me half the way to heaven
And you know it's not enough
I'm just a fool for your loveYou take me half the way to heaven
And you know it's not enough
I'm just a fool for your loveI'm just a fool for your love

Mickey Leroy Gilley was born 9th March 1936 in Natchez, Mississippi. Best known as a Country music singer and piano player, he moved to Houston at age 17 and began playing rock n roll in local clubs, cutting "Tell Me Why" and "Oo-ee-baby" for the local Minor label. He experienced little success on a succession of labels - Dot (Memphis), Rex (New Orleans), Khoury (Lake Charles, Louisiana) until in 1960 he cut "Is It Wrong" for Potomac which became a regional hit. Sadly, the label folded and Mickey continued trying on the Lynn, Sabra and Princess labels.
