Forget The Song Lyrics

"Forget The Song" song overview: It's been 10 years since we last heard from LA's Beachwood Sparks country rock band. This new song is called "Forget The Song" and it's a great song that meets the band fans expectations. As the chorus swoops in, hoping "the spring melts the winter in my heart" you'll warm right up too.
Forget The Song lyrics
It's time to stop pretending
Those days, those days are gone
It's time to stop wishing for endings
Those old wounds have turned into scars
Forget the song that I've been singing
Lay down the way that I've been holding
Hope that spring melts the winter in my heart
Flower, returning in their blooming
Time comes, washes away
Some nights, ...the darkest nights
... is waiting for me
Forget the song that I've been singing
Lay down the way that I've been holding

Los Angeles-based cosmic country-pop combo the Beachwood Sparks was formed in mid-1998 by onetime Strictly Ballroom singer/guitarist Chris Gunst, slide guitarist/keyboardist Dave Scher, ex-Further bassist Brent Rademaker, and Lilys drummer Aaron Sperske. Inspired by the pioneering country-rock efforts of West Coast legends like The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and Buffalo Springfield, the group issued acclaimed singles for Bomp! ("Desert Skies") and Sub Pop ("Midsummer Daydream") prior to the spring 2000 release of their superb self-titled debut LP.
