Forget Your Heart (Piano Version) [B-Side] Lyrics

Fight these eyes
They're drawing you, inside
Sign the name in marker
Watch the clouds as they got darker
Felt it start to slip away
All the schemes were made and plotted
All the rules have been forgotten now
I made it by the skin of my teeth again this timeI'm waiting
Still waiting
To get away and make a change
Seasons last forever in this phaseForget your heart
It's weighing you down inside
As you confide your life to someone else
Maybe we're scared to be alone
We're not prepared to throw the stones
And watch them drift out of our controlI braced my body for the sudden impact
That was more than I ever thought that it would be
And when it knocked me over

I've never felt more stiff than sober now
I'm struggling to get up and run awayI've wasted
I've wasted my life away
I've gotta change
I've gotta burn the book and turn the pageForget your heart
It's weighing you down inside
As you confide your life to someone else
Maybe we're scared to be alone
We're not prepared to throw the stones
And watch them drift out of our controlThere's no return
To what you had when you started
Before you lost control
You will never recoverFight these eyes
They're drawing you insideLay down
And break down
You're dead
Lie down before you lose control
Lay down
And break down
You're dead
Lay down before you lose controlForget your heart
It's weighing you down inside
As you confide your life to someone else
Maybe we're scared to be alone
We're not prepared to throw the stones
And watch them drift out of our control

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
