Forgetting You Lyrics

As I pretend to lay down
you are along dear yeah
I can't help but to keep wishing that you are here
I've done you wrong but now you are gone
what can I do now?
don't make me live the rest of my life forgetting you now
it's too bad, I've been real until you've gone
just what it meant to have a love like you brought my own
but now that you're gone I know I can't go on living here without you now
don't make me live the rest of my life forgetting you now
forgetting you that would be so unknown
but listen baby, how can I forget you? when everyday I love you more and more!
come back to me! I'm lone and blue
don't make me live the rest of my life forgetting you now oh baby
how can I forget you now?
when everyday I love you a little more and a little more
how can I forget you when you filled my heart with so much joy now?
How can I forget you?

oh! oh! when I love you ho so much
how can I forget you when everyday I need you by my side?
Oh I love you baby!
I love you from the bottom of my heart
tell me tell me that we'll never part
I love you baby I love you

James Carr (June 13, 1942 - January 7, 2001) came to prominence as a soul singer during the mid-1960s. He has often been recognized as one of that era's greatest vocalists, placing him alongside an elite list that includes Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding. Born in Coahoma County, Mississippi in 1942, Carr's family had moved to Memphis when he was still a young child. It was here that he discovered music through the sound of Gospel, listening to artists such as Sam Cooke and The Soul Stirrers.
