Forty Days, Thirty Nights Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Get out of my way and leave my house
Sugar and salt, believe in myselfI wait forty days, thirty nights
I am amazedGet out of my way, deface this sound
Get out of my way, I'm in love with myselfAssume my shape and find my sense
I am amazed, I am amazedInto my waiting, I will smile
Assume my shape, I'm in love with myself, myselfMy waiting arms surely must be standing here
I'm in love with myselfI am a man, believe in myself
Which way safely must be standing here
I'm in love with myselfGet out of my way and leave my house
I am a man, I heardI am a man, spent forty days, thirty nights

Forty days, thirty nights
Something's wrong, I hear myself

Enigmatic, moody, and challenging, Britain's Wolfgang Press were one of the most mercurial talents of the post-punk era, restlessly moving from gothic noise to dark balladry to eccentric funk; paradoxically, the group was also the 4AD label's longest tenured artist -- even their stylish album packages were all the product of the same designer, Alberto Ricci. Formed in London in 1983, the Wolfgang Press comprised vocalist Michael Allen, guitarist Andrew Gray, and keyboardist Mark Cox.
