Freakin Me Out Lyrics

I used to be a good man
I used to have friends
They would find me in the evening and mess with my head
When I wake up in the morning and no one's around
Just me in the darkness, flying aroundI'm losing my mind
And it's freakin me out
Freakin me outSo I turned into a bad man
I ran out the door
Made a friend with a rooster and a friend with a poet
And they made me believe that I was holding the crown
But it was me in the darkness, flying aroundI'm losing mind
And it's freakin me out
Yeah, I'm losing my mind
Yeah, you know, it's freaking me out
Yeah, it's freakin me outI've heard it all before
A beggar's at the door of my heart
Yeah, there's a reason I fly around
Nobody showed me how, to loveUsed to have a good heart

I used to be kind
I'd be there for my brothers, it was a mission of mine
But as soon as I see there's no one around, yeah
Just me in the darkness, flying aroundI'm losing mind
And it's freakin me out
Yeah, I'm losing my mind (x2)
And you know, it's freakin me out
Yeah, it's freakin me out

It’s hard to pinpoint the moment that songs are born, the day casual hummers become singers or scribblers become songwriters. Rayland Baxter certainly can’t, and he wouldn’t want to. Though he grew up in Nashville to the sounds of his father’s pedal steel, he didn’t dream of being a rock star. He loved music, of course, but he liked other things, too: being outside, playing sports, working at the bait shop to make spare change.
