Free The People Lyrics

Free the people from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea
Tell the devil, he's a liar
Come and save the likes of me
Saw your lives from the streets
As I passed by the other day
I was scared, my knees were weak
Forgot what I had came to say
Free the people from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea
Tell the devil, he's a liar
Come and save the likes of me
Saw a man walk on water
With everybody looking on
I didn't know I was his daughter
Till both of us had come and gone
Free the people, yeah, from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea

Tell the devil, he's a liar
Come and save the likes of me
If you see me in the alley
Looking like I don't belong
You can put me in your deepest valley
I'll still be singing the same old song
Free the people from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea
Tell the devil, he is a liar
Come and save the likes of me
I said, "Free the people from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea
Tell the devil, he's a liar
Come and save the likes of me"
Free the people from the fire
Pull the boat out of the raging sea
Tell the devil, he's a liar
Come and save the likes of me

Winston Tucker, better known as Winston Groovy, was born to sing. He was the third of four brothers born in the heart of Kingston, Jamaica. But whilst still in his early childhood, he knew that his one love was music, and he actively pursued his ambition to be a singer and to perform in front of the crowds in the clubs. The jukeboxes and 'R&B' broadcasts from the USA soon made their mark on him and influenced his style of singing, but he realised that Reggae would be his main style.
