Friday Night Star (prod. Jim Jonsin) Lyrics

she was a friday night star,
everyone knew her name but the fame didn't take her far,
and she was in awe,
trying to imitate the lifestyle that she saw,
and there was no cars,
living illusions,
dream illusive chasing cars,
a tongue so harsh,
she could persuade a million soldiers into the darkso just wait up a minute lady,
pop them breaks for a minute you're so mistaken,
i say you look awfully shady,
or maybe you're just contemplating a friday night star,
(shes a superstar)
a friday night star,
a friday night star
(shes a superstar),
a friday night star, jessica, im thinking i could probably take her home and marry her,
but eveything i keep on hearing makes me scared of her,

and now i know i probably should have never messed with her,
but she got me grabbing my coat and keys and i did i did,
i get on the express way and speed to her crib, her crib,
i just loose control everytime i see all those hips and lips,
and it feels just like an evil deed,
but i slip, i slip,so just wait up a minute lady,
pop them breaks for a minute you're so mistaken,
i say you look awfully shady,
or maybe you're just contemplating a friday night star,
(shes a superstar)
a friday night star,
a friday night star
(shes a superstar),
a friday night star,yeah,yeah,
shes dressed for the friday night lights,
with her boots zipped up, her jeans tight,
wonderin, tryna find the right type,
but theres dogs round here and they might bite,
i sit back, then stare in amazement,
as these girls go awfully crazy,
they don't know me,
but they know that they play my song on the radio station,
and i climb on top of the stage,
wait for the beat when it drop, then i sing,
everybody get poured up, then drink,
then by the end of the night they faint,
after the pause, i fade to the dark,
everybody please give a round of applause,
i leave to the car, she waits for me patiently by the barso just wait up a minute lady,
pop them breaks for a minute you're so mistaken,
i say you look awfully shady,
or maybe you're just contemplating a friday night star,
(shes a superstar)
a friday night star,
a friday night star
(shes a superstar),
a friday night star,so just wait up a minute lady,
pop them breaks for a minute you're so mistaken,
i say you look awfully shady,
or maybe you're just contemplating a friday night star,
(shes a superstar)
a friday night star,
a friday night star
(shes a superstar),
a friday night star,

Bobby Ray Simmons (born November 15, 1988 in Decatur, Georgia), better known by his stage name B.o.B, is a Grammy Award-nominated American rapper, singer and producer signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle Label and Atlantic Records. In 2007 he released his debut EP Eastside, and has since released another EP, 12th Dimension, and five mixtapes. His debut album, B.o.B Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray, was released in April 2010 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The first single from the album, Nothin' on You featuring Bruno Mars, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album spawned two further hit singles including international smash Airplanes and Billboard hit Magic. The album has since been certified Gold by the RIAA for shipments of over 500,000 copies in the US.

The first single from B.o.B's second album is Strange Clouds. It features Lil Wayne and according to the Strange Clouds Songfacts, it "is 3 minutes 47 seconds of bass heavy bragging.". The song was released on October 3, 2011.

B.o.B has a unique talent in that he produces, writes, raps, arranges, and mixes his own music. He is a one stop music creation shop from top to bottom. This allows B.o.B the rare opportunity of recording with reckless abandon. It is a freedom that he willingly accepts. “I am constantly coming up with songs and concepts because I want to sound different. Nobody made it by sounding like everyone else.” This unique sound caught the attention of two industry heavyweights, Jim Jonsin and TJ Chapman, who are poised to make the rest of the world believers.
