Friend or Foe Lyrics

Friend or foe
Friend or foe
Friend or foe
Friend or foeI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemiesI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemiesTake it up or leave it, I'm not gonna change a bit
If it means heartache then leave it out for your sake
I tried and I try tried to take care of my insides
Nobody's perfect so leave me if you objectI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemiesI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me

To become admirersWhen you're a pirouetting, high kicking, thigh slapping cruiser
When you're a hip grinding, spell binding, clean cut seducer
You have to be careful, so people take note
I take it serious but I still like a jokeI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemiesI want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies
I want those who get to know me
To become admirersTake it up or leave it, I'm not gonna change a bit
If it means heartache then leave it out for your sake
I tried and I try, tried but still you say that I lied
Nobody's perfect so leave me if you objectTake it up or leave it, I'm not gonna change a bit
If it means heartache then leave it out for your sake
I tried and I try, tried to take care of my insides
Nobody's perfect so leave me if you object

Adam and the Ants were a new wave band during the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was one of the bands at the time that marked the transition from the '70s punk rock era to the new-wave post punk-music era. Although the band started off with a punk-influenced sound, it soon moved on to New Wave motivated by new sources such as the drum-heavy "Burundi Beat" heard on "Dog Eat Dog". Led by Adam Ant (real name Stuart Goddard), the band formed in 1977 in London, England, consisting of Lester Square (guitar), Andy Warren (bass guitar) and Paul Flanagan (drums).
