Funplex (CSS Remix) Lyrics

I'm a pleasure seeker, shoppin' for a new distraction
I'm a pleasure seeker, lookin' for some platinum action
I'm a pleasure seeker, movin' to the music
I'm a pleasure seeker, lookin' for the real thingChandalabra's in a wonder-bra
Chris barn runway, a real draw
Faster pussycat, thrill, thrill
I'm at the mall on a diet pill[Chorus]
Oh, broke my heart at the funplex
Yes you did, yes you did
Oh, broke my heart at the funplex,
Yes you did, yes you didThe taco tiki hut is where we're all gonna meet
Underneath the chandelier at the ATM machine
Oh honey, is it all about money?Hey Lady
What?
What lady?
That lady?
No!Private property, hippy be quiet
Your peace sign t-shirt could cause a riot

Faster, faster can't get enough
What the hell will I do with this stuff?I'm your daytime waitress at the taco tiki hut
I'm your daytime waitress here's your stupid 7-Up
You kicked my heart going up and down the escalator
You blew me off and now you've lost the real thing[Chorus]You know fashion frenzy
(Panic at the funplex)
Gets me higher and higher
No will power and my wallet's on fire(Panic at the funplex)
Fashion frenzy gets me higher and higher
No will power and my wallet's on fire[Chorus]The taco tiki hut is where we're all gonna meet
Underneath the chandelier at the ATM machine
Oh honey, is it all about money?Oh, broke my heart
Oh, broke my heart
Panic at the funplexMisery at the funplex
And there's too much sex
Faster, faster, thrill, thrill
Too much to do
It's time for a pill

The B-52's are an American rock band formed 1976 in Athens, Georgia, United States. The band formed as Fred Schneider (vocals), Kate Pierson (vocals, organ), Cindy Wilson (vocals, guitar), Ricky Wilson (guitar) and Keith Strickland (drums). After Ricky Wilson died in 1985, Strickland replaced him as a guitarist. The band is perhaps best known for their 1978 single "Rock Lobster" and their 1989 pop smash "Love Shack".

The name comes from the bouffant wigs that are part of the band's distinctive look, worn by singers Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson. Along with Wilson and Pierson, fellow vocalist Fred Schneider, drummer (and later guitarist) Keith Strickland and guitarist Ricky Wilson (Cindy's older brother) formed the band after a drunken night at a Chinese restaurant.

Their sound is particularly marked by the vocals of Wilson and Pierson, with Kate singing in a slightly deeper voice, along with the generally monotone or spoken-word vocals of Schneider. Aside from their vocals, the band also had a unique New Wave sound that was a combination of dance and surf music, and the unusual guitar-string tunings utilized by Ricky Wilson. Although part of the new wave movement, their music was more experimental than most new wave, indulging in all manner of odd vocal and synthesizer effects. It created a quirky dance sound that became very popular.
