Furniture Fire Lyrics

Glittering celebrities on my screen
You're the prettiest people I've ever seen
Tell me your life story 'cause I collect lies
And I've collected new ways to fantasize
Entertain me although I know you don't care
Involve me, enchant me while I'm on my chair
Ignorant celebrities can't see your hair
All the pretty people don't know I'm here
Furniture fire (fire, fire)
Furniture fire (fire, fire)
Careful where you step in these dangerous days
Try to find a way out, a dangerous maze
When you break the silence I'll make it all clear
Give me one good reason why I should stay here

Furniture fire (fire, fire)
Furniture fire (fire, fire)
Furniture fire (fire)

Girlschool started in 1975 when Enid Williams (Bass, Vocals) and Kim McAuliffe (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals) formed an all girl rock covers band called Painted Lady in South London. Kelly Johnson and Denise Dufort later joined and in April 1978 they changed their name to Girlschool. Their first single Take It All Away was released on the city records label which led to them gaining a Motörhead support slot on the Overkill tour in 1979. Having signed with Lemmy´s record company Bronze later that year, the band released their first album Demolition in 1980.
