Future Train (Version 2) Lyrics

Don't try to tell me it's gonna be ok
When the Truth is plain to see
'Cos if I take a look out of my own front door
I can see the way it's gonna be
And that's not what you're telling me
Hey!I see people being beaten in the streets
And the system won't protect them
'Cos in better times all kinds of evil lay asleep
'Til the wind of fear can resurrect themHow many more lives will it take?
Cos our history could teach us a lot about todaySo it's one step forward and two steps back
There's got to be some changes to bring the balance back
The floor beneath is shaking, and the walls are 'bout to crack
'Cos the future train's coming down the hill
And we're tied to the trackI see a leader with an agenda to hide
Fanning the flames of this confusion
Turning fear into hatred, stirring something deep down inside
And he says there's only one solution
Look through that tangled web they weave

That air of freedom is everybody's right to breatheSo it's one step forward and two steps back
There's got to be some changes to bring the balance back
The floor beneath is shaking, and the walls are 'bout to crack
'Cos the future train's coming down the hill
And we're tied to the trackHow many more lives will it take?
'Cos our history could teach us a lot about todaySo it's one step forward and two steps back
There's got to be some changes to bring the balance back
The floor beneath is shaking, and the walls are 'bout to crack
'Cos the future train's coming down the hill
And we're tied to the track

1) Thunder is a five-piece hard rock band from the United Kingdom that formed in 1989, after singer Danny Bowes, guitarist Luke Morley and drummer Gary 'Harry' James left the group Terraplane. They were soon joined by bassist Mark 'Snake' Luckhurst and guitarist Ben Matthews and put out their first album, Backstreet Symphony, in 1990. They followed it with a well-received Monsters Of Rock festival performance that year.
