Gangsta's Delight Lyrics

This is hip hop, it go clip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meNow what you hear is not a test
I said it's not a test, nigga, it's not a test
Got my Teflon on wrapped around my chest
I do it the best, ya heard, I do it the best
Tuck the nine by my spine all the time
Stunt when I want a dead nigga, fuck with mine
My neck and my ear get to flicking like a strobe
My wrist and my whips have niggas like whoa
I'm the underground king, I reside on the throne
In the club wilding out over Henny and Patron
Me I'm in the zone, yeah me I'm in the zone
It's bottle after bottle til G-stacks are blown
Shawty in my ear like "please take me home"
Before the next song, come on dawg, we gone
Off to the hotel, motel, the Holiday Inn

She said "if I knew you worked the cat from the back like that
I would've brought my friend" uh huh huh huh huhIt go clip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meClip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meI'm so raw, yeah, I'm so raw
Me I'm so ghetto, I'm oh so hardcore
I'm down by law, this style ya never saw
I give 'em just a little then watch 'em fiend for more
Yeah, they want more, they hot and they want more
They love the way I kick it, they addicted to your boy
I'm ecstasy, I'm the ultimate trip
I have ya in the morning like a dope fiend sick
Now feel the rush, I'm like pure cocaine
I have the whole night club going insane
No matter how rich I get I'm never gonna change
I will let it rain, push me, I let it rain
I do this shit myself, lawyer money ain't a thang
The unit is the gang, the yin and the yang
We went from poor to rich, now look we the shit
You best control your bitch or she'll be in the six
Uh huh huh huh huhIt go clip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meClip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meI'm fresh to death, I'm rocking the vest
I'm strapped moving 'round with the heat
I said I do it the best, I'm not the one you should test
That's why my name ring bells in the street
I put that work in, yeah yeah
I put that work in, yeah yeah
I put that work in, yeah yeah
I put that work in, yeah yeahIt go clip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, meClip pop
It hit 'em if ya hit me, the clip pop, it popped and it don't stop
Papa said we bang bang boogie, we get' em oh goodie
Keep the hoodie when you're fucking with me, me, me

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is a Grammy award nominated rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, author and founder of the hip hop group and label G-Unit. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back? in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released 2003's Get Rich or Die Tryin', 2005's The Massacre, 2007's Curtis and 2009's Before I Self Destruct.

50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'Ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.

Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jay’s music. After he’d left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qu’ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.

Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Cent’s demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.

In its first week of release, his debut ”Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.

In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.

In 2003 Interscope allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.
