The World, with members Neil Innes (Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, The Rutles) (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Ian Wallace (drums, vocals), Dennis Cowan (bass, guitar, vocals) and Roger McKew (lead guitar), formed in 1970 in the wake of the breakup of the Bonzos. They released one single and one studio album before the members moved on to other projects.
