Get Lucky Lyrics

Careful when you look into my eyes, you turn to stone
And I am not so strong to let you go
Tell me, does it scare you when I look the other way?
Through the walls into your very soulI get lucky sometimes, I get lucky sometimesShakes me down for secrets in the light of day, does she
But I'm not so dumb to let you know
Whispers in the sea just come, devour all my needs
But I still have one card I've yet to showI get lucky sometimes, I get lucky sometimesOnce you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to youTell me, tell me, why don't you tell me 'bout the reasons why
You're lying in the dark, when there's a master ready
And tell me, tell me, don't run away to buy more complication
Find a time of day and the sun will shine againI get lucky sometimes, I get lucky sometimesOnce you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to youOnce you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to you
Once you know the way down laughter runs to you

The Twilight Singers is an alternative American band. The group was initially formed as a side project by The Afghan Whigs leader Greg Dulli in 1997. After the Whigs disbanded The Twilight Singers became an artistic vehicle, and has released four albums backed by international tours. While in-between Afghan Whigs albums and amidst a dispute with their record label, Elektra, Dulli recorded demos for the act with friends and collaborators Shawn Smith (Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed) and Harold "Happy" Chichester (Royal Crescent Mob, Howlin' Maggie) in New Orleans.
