Get the Joke Lyrics

Put my hand on the Bible, doing it for liable
It's suing season and I am broke
Buy me some happy, find me some passion
Will it ever happen? Heaven knowsSometimes you've got to get the joke
It's the only thing that keeps this bloke afloat
Who put this spanner in my spokes?
I can't change how it's wroteClassy or flashy, at home with Lassie
They all walk past me, I wouldn't know
Make me a new man, find me a new plan
I am a sports fan, a real blokeSometimes you've got to get the joke
It's the only thing that keeps this bloke afloat
Who put this chainsaw in my spokes?
I can't change how it's wroteWhen my ship comes in, she'll be on it
Eating a fresh kebab and I want it
And I want it nowSometimes you've got to get the joke
It's the only thing that keeps this bloke afloat
Who put this chainsaw in my spokes?
I can't change how it's wroteSometimes you've got to get the joke

It's the only thing that keeps this bloke afloat
You get the dagger, I, the cloak
I can't change how it's wroteArse, arse, arse

Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. While Williams' early pop career started with the hit boy band Take That, he has found far greater success since taking his leave in 1995. Williams has sold over 70 million records worldwide, which ranks him among the best-selling music artists worldwide. He is the best-selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non-Latino artist in Latin America.

Six of his albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. He has also been honoured with seventeen BRIT Awards—more than any other artist—and seven ECHO Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted as the "Greatest Artist of the 1990s."

The Candy Songfacts reports that Williams teamed up with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, to write the first single from his ninth studio album, Take The Crown. "Candy" will be released October 29, 2012.
