Getting Nowhere Fast Lyrics

You're getting nowhere fast
Why can't you let it be
You got to make it last my friend
How can I make you see
You got to take your time
You got to play your part
You're getting nowhere fast my friend
It's over before you startTaking care of business, ain't no kind of plan
Sometimes you got to do it if you want to be a man
Crawling home at midnight, ain't no way to be
First thing to himself a man must prove that he is freeYou're getting nowhere fast
You got to take your time
Not everything's a blast my friend
You got to feed the line
You're getting nowhere fast
Why can't you let it be
You got to make it last my friend
How can I make you seeTaking care of business

Ain't no kind of plan
Sometimes you got to do it
If you want to be a man
Crawling home at midnight,
Ain't no way to be
First thing to himself a man
Must prove that he is free
Prove that he is free, prove that he is free
