Ghost Towns Lyrics

Broken windows dark and sad
Where's the light that they once had
Where's the light that they once showed
Wide awake and all aloneI built my dreams and hopes so high
And watched as love rolled down the line
I watched it 'til it was gone
'Til I found I could not move onI know what the ghost towns know
Love comes and goes
Love comes and goesNow people pass, they shake their heads
The way the living blame the dead
Laugh at all the things that show
But they don't know the things I know
I know what the ghost towns know
Love comes and goes
Love comes and goesCemetery choked with weeds
Broken church bell toll the breeze
Broken church bell pray for rain
The soul has flown, the bones remainCemetery's choked with weeds

Broken church bell toll the breeze
Broken church bell pray for rain
The soul has flown, the bones remainI know what the ghost towns know
Love comes and goes
Love comes and goes
Love comes and goes
And so you all, good night, good night
Turn your lamp lights high and bright
And out across the prairies I will
Dream about when love was mineI know
