Gimme Gimme Gimme (Maurice West Bootleg) Lyrics

Half past twelve
Watchin' the late show
In my flat all alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my ownAutumn winds blowin' outside the window
As I look around the room
And it makes me so depressed to see the gloomThere's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayerGimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me
Chase the shadows away
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness
To the break of the dayMovie stars
On end of the rainbow
With a fortune to win
It's so different from the world I'm living inTired of TV
I open the window
And I gaze into the night
But there's nothing there to see no one in sightThere's not a soul out there

No one to hear my prayerGimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me
Chase the shadows away
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness
To the break of the dayGimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnightThere's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayerGimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me
Chase the shadows away
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness
To the break of the dayGimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me
Chase the shadows away
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness
To the break of the day

ABBA was a pop music group formed in Stockholm, Sweden in November 1970. The band consisted of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Agnetha Fältskog. (See also Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson, as well as Benny's previous band Hep Stars.)

They topped the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982 with eight studio albums, achieving twenty-six #1 singles and numerous awards. They also won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

A jukebox musical based on the music of ABBA titled Mamma Mia! opened in London's West End in 1999 and has since become one of the most popular musicals in the world. In 2008, a movie version was made with Meryl Streep among the cast.

The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2010 Induction Ceremony, held on March 15 in New York, recognized the huge contribution of ABBA. Represented by Anni-Frid Lyngstad "Frida" and former husband/band member Benny Andersson, it was perhaps the crowning acknowledgment of the phenomenal success of Sweden's most famous four.
