Girl From Yesterday Lyrics

Here I am
Looking through that same window again
Got me hurting to see you
Attack me, jealousy
Always wondering if I've been true
Why can't I be pretty for youYou want too much (of me)
Of me
(Why can't I shine)
Why can't I shine
(How could you do me that way)
How could you do me
(The girl from yesterday)Today, I'm gone away (Away, away, away, away)
Away
You push me away
(Wooo wo Yesterday...)
(Wooo wo Yesterday...)If somebody love me
The way that I have loved you
I would be secure

But you have friends that think they know how
This relationship should go
Forces from the outside
Destroying us
Why can't I be a womanWhy can't you trust
(You want too much of me)
(Why can't I shine)
Why can't I be real
(How could you do me that way)
I would change you for the world
(The girl from yesterday)
Today, I'm gone away (Away, away, away, away)
You push me away
So far away
The girl from yesterday(Wooo wo Yesterday...)
(Wooo wo Yesterday...)(Yesterday)
(Yesterday)How could you treat me this way
The girl from yesterday
You did wear and tears away
Uhhh...
How could you do it
You were my lover
You were my friend
Oh, oh
Ooh, oh...
And you pushin' me
Pushin' me away, boy
And I don't understand
I loved you
Trusted you
I needed you, oh...
