Give Me Lyrics

Mali, let's go get 'emGimme that joy I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease my pain
I hope that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)Gimmie that power to walk away
When another God wants to take your place
As much of you as I can take
Gimmie dat, gimmie dat
Oh oh ohAnybody ready
Oh oh oh
Ready for his glory
Oh oh oh
If you a seeker for life
Oh oh oh
Let me tell you this story
Oh oh oh
Every place that's dark
Oh oh ohHe will bring it to light

Oh oh oh
Hypocritical hearts backsliders
Liars time to get right
Oh oh oh
See I include myself
Oh oh oh
I cast my own stones
Oh oh ohI'm the man in the mirror y'all
Oh oh oh
I can see my wall
Oh oh oh
But I'm here by grace
Oh oh oh
Through Christ by faith
Oh oh oh
I had to make that choice
I had to open up my mouth and sayGimme that joy I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease my pain
I hope that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)Gimmie that power to walk away
When another God wants to take your place
As much of you as I can take
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)
Gimmie datOh oh oh
Anybody tired
Oh oh oh
You want the show to end
Oh oh oh
Get the actors off stage
And let church begin
Oh oh oh
Do you want a revolution
Oh oh oh
You wanna hear a new song
Oh oh oh
God is cleanin' up house
Oh oh oh
At first he started right at home
Oh oh ohNo more miracle water
Oh oh oh
That comes from money and fame
Oh oh oh
Everybody got a title
But do you know your name
Oh oh oh
If we humble ourselves people
Oh oh oh
Fall on our face
Oh oh oh
And ask God everything in me
That's not right take it awayYeah, gimme that joy that I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease the pain
I want that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)Ooh, I want the power to walk away
When another God wants to take your place
As much of you, Lord as I can take
Gimmie dat, gimmie datYeah, gimme the joy that I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease the pain
I want that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)
Gimmie dat (gimmie dat)Ooh, give me the power to walk away
When another God wants to take your place
As much of you as I can take
Gimmie dat, gimmie datAnd I keep shelter today
'Cause I need you today
I can't get away
See, there's no escape
See whatcha done to me
I'm not the same ol' me
You took away everything
Now your my everythingI just need you today
I cant get away
See, there's no escape
See whatcha done to me
I'm not the same ol' me
You took away everything
Now your my everythingGive me that God who breathes life
Into the nostrils of man
A sovereign God who predestined
Creates for me time and again
I want the God who would really ?
Against the better darkness in starsThe God who orchestrates the future
At the same time he knows where you are
Give me that God who supplies my needs
'cause he owns all the cattles on the hill
And he's the God who earns my ?
Enough to pay all my billsAnd gimmie me that God, that's the God I'm talkn' bout
Gimmie me that God, that's the God I'm talkn' bout
Gimmie dat, gimmie dat
Gimmie datGimme that joy I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease my pain
I want that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat, gimmie datGimmie the power to walk away
When another god wants to take your place
As much of you as I can take
Gimmie dat, gimmie datGimme that joy I can't explain
Add extra peace that'll ease my pain
I want that love that'll never change
Gimmie dat, gimmie datGimme that joy I can't explain
Gimme that joy I can't explain
I am at a loss of words, now
I'm so happy, you make me happy, now
Yeah,yeah yeah yeah yeah

Add extra peace that'll

Kirk Franklin (born January 26, 1970 in Riverside, Texas) is a platinum-selling musician who blended gospel, hip hop, and R&B in the 1990s. He released his first gospel album, Kirk Franklin & Family, in 1993, and is known as the leader of contemporary gospel choirs such as Kirk Franklin & the Family, Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation, and God's Property.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, he was raised by his aunt, Gertrude Franklin. He developed a talent for music early, playing the piano at age four and becoming music director of his church at age eleven. After getting kicked out of school in his teenaged years, having a girlfriend become pregnant, and after a friend was shot to death he returned to the church. After leading the DFW Mass Choir at the 1990 Gospel Music Workshop of America Convention, he organized "The Family", a seventeen-voice choir, in 1992 and began his recording career.

He has integrated hip hop styles with gospel themes in albums such as The Nu Nation Project and God's Property, which achieved success on the Billboard Pop Album, R&B and gospel charts.
Franklin has collaborated with the biggest names in gospel music, including Tonex, Donnie McClurkin, Richard Smallwood, Crystal Lewis, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Jaci Valesquez, and Willie Neal Johnson. He also has displayed a willingness to collaborate with artists in the secular realm, including Bono, Mary J. Blige, Crystal Lewis, and R Kelly in the hit single, "Lean on Me."

On October 4, 2005, his new long-awaited album Hero was released, with latest single Looking for You.
Franklin's songs are published by Zomba Music Publishing, a division of BMG Music Publishing.
