Give Me One More Shot Lyrics

Life ain't all that easy I can testify to that
It's been up and down and round and round to get to where I'm at
If you could see how I'm living in this old car I drive
Well you'd probably wonder and even ponder why I even wanna stay aliveSo give me one more shot, I'll give it all I've got
"Let me open my eyes to a new sunrise", I pray
Give me one more chance, I'll learn to dance the dance
I'm satisfied just being alive, give me one more dayI could complain about taxes or the weather we're having today
Go on and on about things that are wrong from New York to L.A.
Well that's just not my nature to sit around feeling sad
We're only here for awhile so why not smile hey, living ain't all that badSo give me one more shot, I'll give it all I've got
"Let me open my eyes to a new sunrise", I pray
Give me one more chance, I'll learn to dance the dance
I'm satisfied just being alive, give me one more dayWhen I look around there's lots of folks worse off than me
So I just thank the good Lord and ask Him pleaseGive me one more shot I'll give it all I've got
"Let me open my eyes to a new sunrise", I pray
And give me one more chance, I'll learn to dance the dance
Well I'm satisfied just being alive, give me one more day
I'm satisfied just being alive, give me one more dayGive me one more shot, I'll give it all I've got

Give me one more day
Show me the way and give me one more day
Give me one more shot

Alabama is a country music band from Fort Payne, Alabama that was started in 1969 but did not get a recording contract until 1977. Alabama began by singing for tips around Myrtle Beach before going on to sell millions of records. They were among the first successful country groups since the mid-1970s, thanks to their blend of contemporary and traditional country and southern rock. On July 4-93 they opened a $7-million, 2,200-seat theater, located in Barefoot Landing-Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The members of Alabama are:

- Randy Owen (vocals and rhythm guitar)
- Teddy Gentry, (vocals and bass guitar)
- Jeff Cook (lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin)
- Mark Herndon (drums and percussion)

Along with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers, Alabama is recognized as having paved the way for today's top country groups, including Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Rascal Flatts.
