Give Me a Try Lyrics

Ah, where do you go, don't you need my love baby?
Why can't you come on and let us play?
When are you going to come my way? Ah ah ah
What are the things they been telling you?
I've got to stop them from compelling you, girl
They just won't stop me from getting you, ah ah ahGive me a try, 'cause I, know that, things will be great
Me oh my, don't deny, true love never die, it only create
I'm gonna take you right there, love for a lifetime
I'm gonna make your life so clear, girl gonna make you mine
I'm gonna take you right there, love for a lifetime
I'm gonna make your life so clear, gonna make you mineSay no lies, don't you cry, no goodbye, just won't work
Stars in the sky, love so nice, look in your eyes, girl
So much you worth, I'm not stupid, I'm not a fool
Know what I'm doing, I've been to school
Keep a firm grip, on what you own
She's more valuable than a pot of gold
I'm gonna take you there, oh love, for a lifetime
I'm gonna make your life so clear, oh gonna make you mine girl

I'm gonna take you there, oh oh love for a lifetime
I'm gonna make your life so clearGive me a try, 'cause I, know that, things will be great
Me oh my, don't deny, true love never die, it only create
Give me a try, 'cause I, know that, things will be great
Me oh my, don't deny, true love never die, it only createWhere do you go, don't you need my love baby?
Why can't you come on and let us play?
When are you going to come my way? Ah ah ah
What sort of things they been telling you?
I've got to stop them from compelling you, girl
They just won't stop me from getting you, ah ah a
You know, so many experience, ha ha
You got to solve your problems
Come let me help you girl

Sizzla Kalonji (real name Miguel Orlando Collins) is a Jamaican reggae musician. He was born on 17 April 1976, in St Mary, Jamaica, of devout Rastafari parents and raised in August Town. He is unusually prolific, even by Jamaican standards. Sizzla has worked with such artists as Mobb Deep.

Sizzla, along with reggae recording artists such as Capleton, Buju Banton, and Anthony B, are credited with leading a movement toward a re-embracement of Rastafarian values in contemporary reggae music by recording material which is concerned primarily with spirituality, social consciousness, explores common themes, such as Babylon's corrupting influence, the disenfranchisement of ghetto youth, oppression of the black nation and Sizzla's abiding faith in Jah and resistance against perceived agents of oppression. Sizzla has over 40 full completed albums sold in record stores to date, the most popular which have been "Black Woman & Child" and "Da Real Thing" on the Digital B label, "Praise Ye Jah" on Xterminator, and "Rise to the Occasion" on Greensleeves.

Recently, however, he has come under fire for the homophobic content of many of his lyrics, and the advocacy of violence against gays.
