Giving Up The Ghost Lyrics

There's a young girl lost
On the edge of town
Don't see no future, it's blind
Don't give up
When you're upside down
You just keep it insideYou know we all cry
When we're alone
Someone like you
And the promise that we won't beGiving up the ghost
Giving up the ghost
Never you and I
Giving up the ghostGiving up the ghost
We can never stop
Giving up the ghostDon't be a hero
In the name of love
Don't leave me waiting in line
No ties that bind
No ball and chain

The ghost is waiting outsideI'm searching so high
I'm searching low
Someone like you
Baby I'm notGiving up the ghost
Giving up the ghost
Never you and I
Giving up the ghostGiving up the ghost
We can never stop
Giving up the ghostYou know we all cry
When we are alone
Someone like you
We know ohI'm searching so high
I'm searching low
Someone like you
We know oh, oh, ohGiving up the ghost
Giving up the ghost
Never you and I
Giving up the ghostWe are near to me
Giving up the ghost
Will someone give me my time
Giving up the ghost

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
